SJS Industrial Mission
As a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with a 25% veteran workforce, SJS Industrial is fundamentally driven by the ethics of service.
High Quality, Large-scale Service in Powder and Paint Coating
Our company believes it is possible to operate a virtuous small business that simultaneously benefits and supports its personnel, its local community, and its customers while also enabling enough growth to become a “small giant” within the defense industry of the Mid-Atlantic region.
SJS Industrial’s core mission is to dependably provide maritime and defense customers with technologically advanced powder and paint coating services that are durable and measurably extend the service life of equipment, fixtures, and components.

Offering a Safe and Supportive Workplace in Hampton Roads
SJS Industrial also aims to operate the largest, cleanest, and most professional paint, powder, and blast facility in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia so that customers with large sized assets like vehicle chassis, boat cages, support beams, elevated steel walkways, and more have a local option for coatings.
For its workforce, SJS Industrial strives to provide a safe and supportive work environment that enables career development without sacrificing work/life balance. We are committed to a 100% accident-free workplace and compensation transparency.
Giving Back
As a veteran owned company, contributing to and giving back to the community is a core part of our business model.
Since its inception, SJS Industrial has contributed to the Hampton Roads community, donating to local causes, educational institutions, and civic organizations like Equi-VETS, Equi-Kids, Old Dominion University, and the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure.
As the company’s revenue base grows, so will the company’s charitable contributions within the Seven Cities region.
SJS Industrial Ethics
SJS Industrial and its employees value honesty, integrity, and transparency, which naturally leads to an emphasis on continuous process improvement (CPI).
Many of our team members are educated in lean Six Sigma methods for regularly seeking ways to eliminate defects, waste, and delays, and they actively share this expertise with their peers. Our customers benefit from the SJS Industrial CPI approach, too, because it results in cost control as well as sustainment of high quality workmanship.
